If you need more time, a Three-day Package is available.

  • What if I need more time?

The Three-Day Weekend Package allows you to use the Shriners Event Center for three days. Standard times are six hours on Friday, 14 hours on Saturday, and four hours on Sunday. These times can be adjusted with Event Coordinator approval. See the Pricing page for additional details.

  • Do you offer hourly rentals?

All rooms at Shriners Event Center are available for hourly rentals every day of the week, including the Fireside room, Boardroom, and both Full and Half Ballroom!

  • Can I reserve just the kitchen?

Yes! Our kitchen can be reserved on its own, based on availability. It is fully equipped with a walk-in cooler, warming-oven, dishwasher, and plenty of prep space- perfect for food prep, catering support, or community cooking needs. Contact our Event Coordinator to check availability and rates.

  • How late can my event last?

All events must conclude by 11:00 p.m., with an additional hour provided for cleanup. To ensure a smooth closing, all guests and vendors must exit the venue by midnight. If you anticipate needing more time to clean up, we kindly ask that you plan for your event to end a bit earlier.

  • Do I have to use your caterer?

No, you are allowed to use the caterer of your choice. All full-day rentals are required to use a licensed caterer to provide food. We are happy to recommend some of our favorites.

  • What is the capacity of the Shriners Event Center?

Our Ballroom can seat up to 500 attendees. The Fireside Room has a capacity of 200. Full building rentals may not exceed 700 guests.

  • Can I decorate the day before my event?

While we typically do not allow early setup time or time-splitting for rentals, there may be some flexibility for events depending on availability. If you’re interested, please reach out to the Event Coordinator to discuss options. For guaranteed setup time, we recommend considering our convenient Three-Day Package.

  • What type of cleanup is required following our event?

Clients are responsible for basic cleanup at the end of their event, including taking trash to the dumpster, wiping down surfaces, removing all decorations, and cleaning up any spills on the floors.

  • Is insurance required to rent the Shriners Event Center?

Yes, all events must have single day event liability insurance. This insurance must name the Shriners Event Center and El Katif Shriners as additional insured. This protects the renter and our facility. Call your insurance company to ask about options or look into an online provider, such as theeventhelper.com
